Requirements and entering xat Trade
In order to trade, you must have at least one day to enter the chat. What if you have xats or powers but no days? What you can do is private chat a moderator and ask to purchase a day. Please be kind to the moderator, and if they say they don’t have any days to sell or they are not selling any days, and you may ask another moderator. You may have to switch pools in order to do so.
Using the Trading Application
First, you must locate the trade application. This can be done a few ways, but the easiest way is to say “trade” on the chat. The word “trade” is underlined and can be clicked. Click it, and then the trade application will load to the left of the chat box.
The trade application is simple and easy to use. First, let’s say you’re selling a power. To offer the power, locate the top section. On the right side, there is a list showing the powers you have. Click the “+” on the power(s) you agreed to sell. After you have done so, wait for the other user to put the amount of xats or days you both agreed to. Then, put in your password at the bottom section. Click “Accept trade”, and then click “Confirm trade”. When the other user does the process, you have successfully traded!
What if you’re selling xats or days? Locate the two categories which are labeled “xats” and “days”. You can type in the amount of xats or days, or click the “+” button to add one xat or day at a time. (It’s faster to type in the number when putting in larger numbers). When the other user has put the agreed power on the their list, follow the accept and confirm steps from above.
Dealing with Scammers
With virtual money comes people wanting to steal (scam) them from you! So, let’s not let that happen to you! There are many methods used for scamming. Let’s go through the most common one.
The most popular method of scamming is the scammer will change the agreed amount to a shorter look-alike value. They will then tell you to accept. This is a scammer! Example: Let’s say you’re selling the (boot) power for 10000 xats. Using this method, the scammer will change the value to 1000 xats, and tell you to accept! This can sometimes be a mistake, so make sure to tell the user to change it. If they continue to urge you to accept, you can report it.
There are more methods used to scam, but this is the most popular method. (See our guide on how to provide sufficent proof which contains more information about this. Make sure not to get scammed!)
Okay, you’ve got a scammer, now what? You should take a screen shot and report it to the nearest moderator or owner. They will decide if it is worth a ban or not.
Ranking Information
Trade is always looking for new members to help moderate such a big chat.
To earn member you must: Be active, follow the rules, and most importantly, help users in need of help.
Asking for member or any other rank is not allowed. You are allowed to tell moderators or owners that you are aiming for member, however. Good luck!
Confusing Rules Clarification
Some rules may confuse users more often than others. Let’s try to clear up rules often confused.
False Trade
False trade is when someone usually offers to sell a power for really low price (or a high price if the user is buying a power) and is not really going to buy or sell the power(s). This is not a rule! As long as no one is annoyed or they make remarks about this post (causing disruption), this is fine to do.
We often get reports labeled as false trade but it actually turns out to be a scammer. Scammers are much different from false trade, don’t get them confused!
Capital Letter Use
Many users think having a few capital words in your posts is bad. For all guests, members, and moderators, the maximum limit of capital words is three per post. If a user has 1-3 capital words in their post, it is fine. Please do not tell them to turn “caps off” unless it breaks the limit of three. Also, please do not tell the owners (even temporary owners) to watch caps. This rule does NOT apply to the owners. The owners already know the rules very well and would not break a simple rule.
Requesting Products
Yes, even this rule sometimes gets confused. Long explanation short, DO NOT ASK FOR FREE XATS, DAYS, OR POWERS! The only time you can do something related to this is when you private chat a moderator requesting to purchase a day.
Valid Items to Sell
The only things that are allowed to be sold at Trade are xats, days, or powers. We also allow the selling or buying of images. You may not sell identification numbers, accounts, content of other websites, or anything else related. You will be kicked or banned if this happens!
