Are you sometimes wondering if you happen to run into a scammer, you screen shot, but you’re not sure if it’s not enough proof for a ban? Well let’s try to clear some things up. I will show you how to identify a scammer, how to screen shot, how to report the screen shot, and what makes good proof.
For information on how to make a screen shot, please check our screenshot guide article.
Now on how to identify a scammer. Say if you’re selling a namecolor power for 9990 xats, and you get someone who wishes to buy namecolor. You guys agree on a trade, and then you put a namecolor. You notice a red box on the “Xats” on his side of trade, and the xats put there are not 9990, but 999. The person then tells you to accept! This is a scammer, and you should screen shot showing the trade as well as the chat and the user’s ID. Here is an example that me and a trade owner acted out.
In the screenshot shown here you will see an example.
This is an example of excellent proof for a scammer. Also, please note if you are selling a power for DAYS, a scammer might try to trick you by putting the agreed amount of days in xats. So please be careful! Make sure to notify them that they have put the value in xats, not days. If they continue with pushing you to accept, report them and explain this to the moderator.
Another popular method of scamming is putting the correct value in the trade system, and purposely putting a bad password in an effort to change the value without the person noticing and accepting again. You must watch out for little things like this at all time. After you press the accept button, do not press the confirm button until you double check it and confirm that everything is correct.
Who can you report your screen shot(s) to? You can report your screen shot(s) to any moderator or owner of Trade. If no moderators or owners are online, please wait until one does come on. Please remember, always include their identification number in the screenshot!
I hope this helped everyone who had questions!
